I caught a National Geographic special on TV the other night and what I saw made me sick.
A reporter was interviewing Palestinian Muslims, trying to find out what makes these people tick. She focused on the extremists and went well out her way to explain not all Muslims or Palestinians feel the same way. However, her report certainly was an eye opener.
It focused on the increase of terrorists using women as suicide murderers. One woman was apparently to old to participate, but she was calm in the knowledge that she had raised her sons from the time they were infants to become suicide murderers. They would be her pride and joy when they finally strapped the bombs to themselves and blew up innocents. The age of their intended target was of no concern to her. She knew her boys would enjoy their 72 virgins after the deed was done. How clever to say, I am too old but you can do it for me. I guess she's not ready to meet the Chippendale Dancers in the hereafter yet. The thing is, this misbegotten plan was wholly endorsed by her sons. Somehow they thought she'd lead a better life as soon as they all got done blowing themselves up.
In another interview, the reporter found a failed female suicide murderer. How you can fail at this is beyond me. They say she was discovered by ‘infidel' forces and imprisoned for her part in a plot to blow something or someone up. I guess when she asked which two wires to put together to blow the bomb, the ‘infidels' got suspicious. Regardless, she is free now after having served her time and lives with her brothers. The brothers wouldn't let her speak during the interview. I guess she's not worthy. Her boyfriend and one of the brothers beat her on a regular basis and she seems content to take this as punishment for not having fulfilled her duties.
They spoke to a mother and father of a successful suicide murderer who took offense at the fact the reporter saw this as a less than stellar career choice. They could see absolutely nothing wrong with what their daughter did. They even held out hope that all Palestinians and Muslims would follow the example their daughter set until all Jews and infidels were wiped from the face of the planet.
Their daughter was a ‘martyr'. I don't think so. I can't think of a single true martyr who went around killing people if they disagreed with what that martyr had to say. In fact, I think most martyrs, Ghandi, Martin Luther King, etc. were peaceful men who died violent deaths at the hands of others. These Muslims are nothing less than cowardly murderers. The only upshot to what they do is that they won't cost taxpayers a fortune while they languish in prisons.
How do you fight an enemy with that kind of mind set. Like I said, the program made me sick.
