Opinionated Ranter - The Adventures of Being Awesome...

I am but a man trying to live the dream. This is how I see the world...

ISLAM 5 (cont'd)

Mr. Brian Summers of Richmond, B.C. makes an interesting point in his letter to the editor.
"The truth is that the Palestinians don't really want or need a state. They don't care if they live under Jordanian, Syrian or self rule; they just want the Jews gone." That comment from correspondent Jimmy Hagarty perfectly summaries the conflict between Jew and Arab in the Middle East. Whether in the 60 years since Israel was founded, or the years before then when Jews were a minority, nothing has changed. What are now known as the West Bank and Gaza -- from between 1948 and 1967 -- were once under Jordanian and Egyptian rule, respectively. There was no Palestinian uprising against the "occupation," nor were there demands for a Palestinian state. Mr. Hagarty's statement should be prominently displayed in all council rooms of the UN and its agencies, as well as CIDA and other government agencies that provide "aid" to the Palestinians. And to ensure it is learned, all members of the Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation should be required to write it out 100 times," he writes. The last sentence is in reference to Sid Ryan's order to his union (CUPE) to boycott any goods from Israel.

It seems Mr. Summers has seen what a lot of us have missed. I wish I had thought of it this way.

I never thought of it, either. Wow! It's the only thing that makes sense, though. Like most Arabs, all the Palestinians really want is to kill Israel.

Maybe we should forward this to Washington? They seem to believe all the crap in spite of the evidence. If they can see it this way, it could make a difference.

It is brilliant and does make sense. Don, if you can figure out who to send it to in Washington and how, let me know. I'll forward it.
